Beginner Tech Journey
My tech journey so far and why I'm excited about it.

Hello, my name is Fey and I'm in love with Tech! Ok, maybe 'in love' is a little extreme, but I've been a fan of anything tech related since as long as I can remember.
So it's a new year and I have decided to finally tech seriously. 'Finally take tech seriously'? That's practically contrasting to hear especially because I started out with writing how in love I was with tech, well that's where the aim of this whole article comes to play. You know, (You may not know though π) it's very easy to get stuck in the cycle of being interested in a particular aspect of tech, going ahead to learn and then lose interest half way for one reason or the other. But I figured out I just didn't have enough focus to drive me through the phase of losing interest halfway. Lately I've been intentional about taking the steps to break this cycle and I'm totally glad about this. I'm a step closer to reaching my goals (even if it feels like there are about a thousand steps ahead). It's a lot more easier when you learn to enjoy the process with your goals in foresight, this way if you ever get to the stage of losing interest you're able to pick yourself back up quickly and get back on track.
I should have stated this earlier, the Tech Path I have chosen is design, UI/UX to be specific and so far I've been reading Design related books (Refactoring UI, Design of Everyday things) and been checking out YouTube to help better my basic design knowledge and skills and I have been practicing design, you need to do a lot of practice. There's been a lot of growth so far as I continue to learn. The easiest way to not meet your goals is to not even set them. It makes you less intentional about what you're trying to learn and where you're trying to get yourself. I have a few Design Goals I have written down to achieve by the end of 2022 (or before π) and I'd be sharing them here;
- Teach people who are willing to learn design (Because when you learn, teach. It cements the knowledge you've gathered for yourself and it helps other people get better, it's a Win-win).
Earn from Design ( There's this gratification that comes from putting in work to learn a skill and actually earning from it).
Be the Best UI/UX Designer that there is (This actually comes first on my list, but it takes extra effort to get here and I'm all set for it).
I hope you enjoyed this read, this is my very first Hashnode article.
